Furnaces: They aren't what they used to be
 
Location: CCP Norcross, 6280 Best Friend Rd, #100, Norcross, GA 30071
Time: 8:00am-12:00pm

This class will cover heat pump, air handler and furnace controls, boards and dip switches as related to proper function of heat pumps.  We will cover in depth the importance of air flow and how to measure and adjust CFM using different methods, because proper air flow is the foundation of a well tuned and properly performing system, the technician must have a good knowledge of this subject e will also demonstrate proper troubleshooting techniques. Schematics and wiring diagrams will be covered, to help the technician solve problems in a logical manner. The different types of motors, including PSC, X-13/ECM, and variable speed will be covered, and we will discuss the pros and cons of each. Sub-cooling and superheat and the effect system conditions have on each will be covered, along with proper charging procedures and the measurements and instrumentation required.
